The tripple filter test!

In ancient Greece, Socrates was reputed to hold knowledge in high esteem. One day an acquaintance met the great philosopher and said, "Do you know what I just heard about your friend?"

"Hold on a minute," Socrates replied. "Before you talk to me about my friend, it might be good idea to take a moment and filter what you’re going to say. That’s why I call it the triple filter test. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?"

"Well, no," the man said, "actually I just heard about it and…"

"All right," said Socrates. "So you don’t really know if it’s true or not. Now, let’s try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my friend something good?"

"Umm, no, on the contrary…"

"So," Socrates continued, "you want to tell me something bad about my friend, but you’re not certain it’s true. You may still pass the test though, because there’s one filter left—the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about my friend going to be useful to me?"

"No, not really."

"Well," concluded Socrates, "if what you want to tell me is neither true, nor good, nor even useful, why tell it to me at all?

What you represent

Often our clothes, behaviour, words represent who we are, but we sometimes forget what we are representing.

When we are with someone who know us , our family , our country , with them how we dress, how we act, what we say usually represents just us as a person.

When we are among people who know us & very little about our family, we then our representing ourselves and our family.

And when we are in a situation where others know very little about our family and even less about our country, then in those circumstances we are representing not just ourself as a person, but we represent our family & our country.

It's an old saying in my country - Do nothing that brings dishonour to your country or your family and you will always gain honour for self, family & country!

Its all in the attitude!!!!

ATTITUDE

1) Heavy rains remind us of challenges in life. Never ask for a lighter rain.
Just pray for a better umbrella.
That is attitude.

2) When flood comes, fish eat ants & when flood recedes, ants eat fish.
Only time matters. Just hold on,
God gives opportunity to everyone!

3) Some people always throw stones in your path. It depends on you what you make with them,Wall or Bridge?
Remember you are the architect of your life.

4) Every problem has (“n”+1) solutions,
where “n” is the number of solutions that you have tried
and “1” is that you have not tried. That's life.

5) It's not important
to hold all the good cards in life.
But it's important how well you play
the cards which you hold.

6) Often when we lose all hope
& think this is the end,
God smiles from above and says, relax dear
its just a bend. Not the end.
Have Faith and have a successful life.

7) One of the basic differences
between God and human is,
God gives, gives and forgives.
Human gets, gets, gets and forgets.
Be thankful in life!
